If you’d like to peak behind the curtain, take part in our regular guided tours! In approximately one hour you’ll get to see areas of our magnificent music theatre that remain hidden to guests attending a performance. Experience Oper Graz from different angles and learn interesting historical facts and trivia about the day-to-day operations of an opera house.

Regular guided tours
Approx. 60 minutes
On designated Saturdays (listed in the column on the right), our regular guided tours take place at 5 p.m. (meeting point: foyer). Tickets are available in advance from the ticket centre at Kaiser-Josef-Platz 10 or directly on site in the foyer of the opera house at the box office.
Individual guided tours for educational institutions and groups of 7 or more people
Approx. 60 minutes
Individual guided tours are available on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. by prior appointment using the booking form.
Backstage tours for schools
8:00-10:15 a.m.
Schoolchildren get an exclusive glimpse behind the scenes and discover various departments such as make-up, stage technology and props, and at the end they even get to slip into the real costumes of the professionals on stage. Registration via the booking form.
