»Graz is Wöd« – an evening full of music, humor and diversity

What does Graz sound like beyond its major cultural institutions? What kind of music resonates – sometimes still undiscovered – in Styrian living rooms, pubs or community halls? Music producer Jochen Kühling set out to find out, and discovered it in cellars, former factory spaces, quiet courtyards and charming halls. Along the way, he met musicians who cultivate their art with passion and quality – from the Latin American güiro to the Styrian harmonica.

The result is a captivating program that brings the full range of Styrian music to the stage. Music that has migrated here with people from all over the world and become what it is today: music from Styria that must be heard.

Adding a spark of wit and energy is award-winning cabaret artist and musical comedian Elli Bauer. Born in Graz to a Scottish mother, she combines dry humor, guitar, singing and dance into a unique stage presence. She tours Austria with her third solo program »fAngst?« and has also been featured on ORF1, ORFIII, SR Germany and Radio FM4.

Together, Jochen Kühling and Elli Bauer guide the audience through an evening of surprises, emotions and artistic joy. A show that reveals Graz at its most colorful and musical.
