Hunger for art and culture

Holders of the “Kulturpass” (culture pass) receive free last-minute tickets at the box office as part of the “Hunger for arts and culture” campaign. Premieres, guest performances and special events are not included in this promotion.

€ 1 for first semester students

During their first semester at university, students enjoy shows at Oper Graz for just € 1. Discounted tickets are available at the ticket centre, or use the discount code ABINDIEOPER when booking online.
Please note that you’ll need to present your student ID during admission. The quicker the better: this welcome offer is available for 1,000 students in their first semester and applicable in summer and winter terms.

Box office

Our box office opens one hour before the performance for events on the opera’s main auditorium and half an hour before the start of all other events. Tickets that have already been paid for can be collected at the programme stand to the left of the Feststiege (staircase).

Last-minute tickets

For visitors who are entitled to a discount (see ‘Discounts’ for detailed information), last-minute tickets are available at a standard price of €8 (except for guest performances and special events). Free last-minute tickets for in-house productions are reserved for holders of the “Kulturpass” (culture pass) as part of the ‘Hunger for arts and culture’ campaign.

Discounts

Children and young people up to the age of 19 as well as apprentices, students and those on mandatory military or civil service up to the age of 27 receive a 50% discount on season tickets as well as single tickets upon presentation of the relevant ID. This doesn’t apply to the family musical as the children’s discount is already included in the full price. Combining multiple discounts is not possible. Premieres, guest performances, special events, the New Year’s Eve performance, the New Year’s concert, the family musical, price category 6 and standing room tickets are excluded from all discounts.

Services for people with disabilities

The opera house has barrier-free access via a side entrance. Four wheelchair spaces are available in the main auditorium at standing room price. Visitors with disabilities receive a 50% discount on the full price upon presentation of appropriate identification; this also applies to an accompanying person listed on the identification. For hearing-impaired visitors we offer the ‘Tourguide’ system. Please ask our audience service staff before the performance. Furthermore, four parking spaces are available for people with disabilities on level 1 of the Operngarage car park.
