New Year's concert “Happy New Year!”
For auld lang syne! This year’s New Year’s concert takes us from the United Kingdom to the New World. Johannes Braun, 1st Kapellmeister of Oper Graz, conducts an Anglophile programme that combines the dignified, such as Vaughan Williams’ poetic jewel The Lark Ascending for solo violin and orchestra, with the groovy like the three dance episodes from Leonard Bernstein’s musical On The Town and the fiery, as in George Gershwin’s Cuban Overture.
